Thank you for joining Jackson Irish Dancers. Individual memberships are $15 per year; family memberships are $25 per year. Our membership year is January 1st to December 31st. Memberships are half price after June 30th.

Members of JID need not be Jackson residents, and need not be dancers; all that is required for membership is that you have an interest in learning, performing, or supporting Irish dance and the activities of JID. Our performance group and board of directors are selected from among the membership, and members receive discounted admission to JID events and classes wherever possible, as well as other benefits. Most importantly, your membership dues help us pay operating expenses, bring visiting instructors to teach classes and workshops, and support local events like the Mostly Weekly Céilí Series and CelticFest Mississippi.

    RELEASE TERMS:

    I understand that Irish dance is a voluntary recreational activity which could result in injury, including because of the physical nature of Irish dancing.

    I acknowledge that I am responsible for my (and/or my child’s, if I am registering a child under 18 years old) medical care, treatment, and physical fitness assessment, and that I know of no physical or other condition that would limit or prohibit my (or my child’s) participation in Irish dancing. If registering for my child, I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child and have authority to release his/her claims as well as my own.

    I assume the risk of injury as a result of participation in Irish dance classes or performances, and in consideration of my (and/or my child’s) participation in such classes/performances, I release, waive, and discharge Jackson Irish Dancers (including its directors, members, instructors and guest instructors) and its agents, as well as any venue where dance classes/performances may occur (including owners, employees, and others associated with that venue), from any and all legal actions, claims or demands by, and from any and all liability to, me (or my child, or my (or my child’s) heirs, executors, or assigns.

    This release is effective on behalf of each adult and child listed on the membership form that I/we have submitted, and applies to any and all claims that any person listed might otherwise make for loss, damages, or injuries sustained in or as a result of participation in Irish dancing classes or performances sponsored by or affiliated with Jackson Irish Dancers, either as a result of the negligence of any of the released parties, or otherwise.
